Tinctures

Tinctures are extracts. I use the freshest herbs, gathered at their peak and extract all their useful goodness in Jersey-distilled vodka (Devil’s Springs – distilled in Clifton, NJ). I make what’s called simples, but very often I’ll mix and match my tinctures into a new bottle so that I can hit my ailments with more than one treatment.
My favorite combo? Nettles and Mullein tinctures combined help to keep headaches away.
Also when we’re sick I’ll combine catnip for its anti-inflammatory and calming effect with mullein’s ability to soothe a cough.
If you’d like me to mix two types of tincture in one bottle please let me know in an email.

Susun Weed says that Skullcap must be processed in the alcohol as soon as it is plucked, and so that’s what I’ve done here, to guarantee an effective tincture.
